S herry Anders was at a bind. She’d simply informed her roomie about a personal injury to 1 of her horses. These were seated at a dining dining table in El Toreador, a household restaurant that is mexican their provided split-level in Redmond, Washington. Sherry, a petite 5’2” with dark locks and knock-em-dead appearance, spent my youth around horses and might manage them much better than many stable boys — and with style to spare. “She’s the actual only real person I ever knew whom could get horse riding in heels and white garments and turn out searching positively gorgeous,” recalls a longtime buddy. But Sherry hated needles and ended up being dreading providing an attempt to Flame, her red quarter horse.

That’s when an affable, 38-year-old man with dark locks and eyes showed up at their dining table and flashed a thousand-watt smile. He introduced himself as Martin Lewis and told Sherry he raced and owned Thoroughbreds. He produced a wallet-size picture of a filly that is beautiful in a celebratory garland of flowers. During the center associated with photo, Martin and some associates grinned ear to ear, shining from the victory that is recent.
